My husband and usually try to avoid eating in the Quarter when we're heading out for dinner, but Chartres House has always been the exception. It's wonderful day or night, whether we want to bring our little one along, or just have a sweet, intimate dinner. The food is quite good, and always fresh, hot, and delivered to our table promptly. The location is terrific, with a wonderful ambience, whether you dine in the open air bar, the dining room, or even the courtyard! Best of all, this place has THE BEST SERVICE. The staff will bend over backward to make sure you have everything you need! Always warm, smiling, and welcoming, the folks at Chartres make you feel at home! Chartres is our favorite place to dine in the Quarter! It'll be yours too!
Pros: Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, yummy food, consistenly great!

Good food, excellent martini list. Good place to start off a night on the town. I am a local, and this is one of the only places that I really enjoy going when I go downtown.
