I was immediately thrilled when I arrived. The b&b was even nicer then it looked from the website. We had a wonderful stay in the Orleans suite. It had a balcony overlooking the pool and beautifully landscaped courtyard. The service was wonderful. Tom was great. The location was perfect for everything we did. We can't wait to return.

Pros: location and large suites

This is the type of place you feel instantly at home. You are instantly welcome by the host who helps you with everything from your bags to recommendations and even reservations. The large suites are all wonderful and very clean and comfortable. The tropical courtyard was my favorite part of all. Swimming in the saltwater pool and spa wasnt too bad either. Its located in a safe quiet nook of the french quarter near everything you would want to do while in New Orleans. I will be back again soon.

Pros: Large suites, THE POOL and courtyard

Cons: having to go home :(

My wife and I just purchased a bed and breakfast ourselves and so we were excited to come to New Orleans were they are known for the numerous bed and breakfast accommodations. We looked at various locations and found Maison DuBois Bed and Breakfast to be the nicest due to its location, large rooms and its wonderful pool/spa area. The host services is what you would hope for (wonderful and helpful in all aspects) and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Many B&Bs can be kind of stuffy but not this one. The location was perfect to walk the french quarter, restaurants and all other attractions. We had heard some negative things about safety so we were curious to see if the press we had heard was accurate but we felt very safe at all times. Maison DuBois gives us hope that we can try to duplicate their hospitality and layed back feel in an upscale establishment. We really felt at home here.

Pros: Location, Large Rooms and THE POOL/COURTYARD

Cons: none

I recently stayed at Maison DuBois Bed and Breakfast during my visit to New Orleans for Jazz Fest and absolutely loved my overall experience. I was not sure what to expect as I normally stay in hotels but wanted to try something different. When I arrived I was immediately impressed. The house is beautiful, filled with antiques and tastefully decorated. My room had a balcony overlooking a luxury salt water pool/hot tub with a backdrop of palm trees. The management helped me organize places to eat and entertainment beyond the jazz fest which was wonderful during a busy festival like that. And the location could not be beat. They are in a wonderful area surrounded by restaurants, clubs, museums etc. Its true what they said steps from the french quarter and 1 block from Bourbon St. You cant get any better than that! I am booking another trip to return now and would recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.

The only way to experience NewOrleans: a small hotel or b&b instead of a big high rise or chain hotel. My friends & recently stayed at Maison DuBois & it was perfect for us. Lovely, spacious, beautifully furnished rooms. Peaceful garden, pool & hot tub - nice to relax in after a hot day in the city. Great quiet location a short walk to the shops on Royal Street & the restaurants & clubs in the French Quarter. Our gracious, knowledgeable host took care of everything we needed and wanted, and more! He provided directions, restaurant advice, cab arrangements. Even provided band-aids & antiseptics for my friend's blistered feet. All in all, a rare combination of deluxe accomodations and warm southern hospitality.

Pros: Great location, Gracious host, Lovely rooms
