I consider myself a professional bargain-hunter, but I'm still always amazed at the deals I find in this place. They have a great selection of things by famous designers and up-and-coming designers. I think my personal best was finding pants originally marked $240 for $9. The only reason I can't quite give it five stars is because the bigger store on Vets was so much better.
Pros: super cheap designer clothes
Cons: not as good as old location

Went in here with time on my hands, just to look. Jeans are organized, other than that, there are clothes all over and they are very poorly finished. They had the look of designers having changes thier minds and stopping before the garments were done. I did find one little black treasure, $450! This is not the place I am dropping the better portion of $500. This is the French Quarter, and it is hot, but I didn't have heat stroke! This is a great street, and you can do lots better.
Pros: They have written great reviews in the hotel brochures.
Cons: Messy store, and inflated attitude of staff.

If you're a former shopper of the UAL on veterans before Katrina, you might be as disappointed as I was in the Chartres St. store. It's expensive, small, crowded and the clothing is definitely made to fit model like figures for people who do not live "normal" lives. However, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the UAL in Mandeville on Causeway. It's worth the drive, the sales women are awesome, the clothes are unique, priced well below their value. By far the best place to get designer jeans for under $50.
Pros: Designer clothes cheaper than the designer prices
Cons: Small space, not as cheap or as good a selection as other location

I have lived here in the CBD for a long time, & in this shop-a-holics mind, UAL is probably the best clothing boutique you could ever hope to find! They have very expensive high-end fashion for extreme discounts. I have a hard time spending less than 3 hours just browsing! The fashions that they sell are unique & by VERY famous, sought after designers. If you get on the emailing list, you will be notified of the outragously awsome sales they have. If you love clothes, this should be your second home!
Pros: Always something new, Great prices, easy to find
Cons: Items sell very quick, They can get crowded, very time consuming

absolutely the best selection at the best prices anywhere in the city. designer clothes and accessories at rather thrifty prices in a somewhat thrifty atmosphere. be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dig, items can be seemingly haphazardly scattered, but the treasures are definitely worth the hunt.
Pros: big selection, great prices
Cons: messy, cramped
