OMIGAWDY.....Angeli's Portabello Mushroom Sammiches are the BOMB-DIGGITY! Ever since we visited N'awlins for the 1st time and popped one of those babies into our mouths.....we have recommended all our friends to this joint. But that comes with strings; they MUST absolutely MUST bring us a 'shroom sandwich back to Atlanta! Matter of fact; I"m eating one right now. SALUD!!! Love ya'll......

Thank goodness for this place! Interesting and tasty vegetarian options in a deep-fried meat city. We ate here several times on our vacation.
Pros: late night with Veggie options!

The food at Angeli is always excellent. I love their sandwiches and pasta salad and have never been let down when eating here. When I'm showing around friends from out of town this is always our quarter lunch stop. And the waitstaff has always been friendly- even during busy and crazy Mardi Gras.
Pros: Staff, Food, Ambiance
Cons: only one location

Great pizza, big salads, big, messy and interesting burgers. The staff is interesting and it's near a goth section of the quarter so everyone is terribly fun to look at and interact with. They play old movies on a projector screen, at least I think they still do since the hurricane. A must go to at 3 am.
Pros: great food, eclectic ambiance
Cons: the bathroom may be undesirable

What's there not to love about Angeli's? It has a fun and funky ambiance, delicious food, and amazing drinks. My personal meal is the Jalalpeno cheeseburger and spicy Bloody Mary. The music rocks too.
Pros: inexpensive, great food, service

Angeli was the only restuarant that I ate at while in New Orleans. I had plans to go elsewhere to try the typical tourist eats but never actually made it to them. I was so impressed with the food at Angeli, I think I ate there 4 times in 2 days. I never had the same thing twice and it was all stellar. I can't say that I ever saw the restaurant really busy and I never had to wait. After a 5 hour drive I arrived around 4am and I was pleased to get great food and service at such an hour. When I return to nola I will definitely be paying a visit here.
Pros: awesome food, laid-back atmosphere, inexpensive

Staff was friendly and the pizza is very good. I was surprised to find pizza that tasted this good in the Quarter.
Pros: Pizza

This resturants is by far the best place I have eaten at in New Orleans. It is geared to a younger generation and definately carries the Nawlin's attitude. Not only is the food esquisent and cost-friendly, but the atmosphere is relaxing. I've heard the resturant could get crowded, not good for large groups, but I have only been there during off-hours usually between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The service is not annoyingly over-bearing (i.e. ALWAYS bothering us or to "sell" food. Just get our order, fill our drinks, and let us eat, dammit! :] ) I feel at home at Angeli. Before my piercings at Rings of Desire, this has always been my eatery of chose! Kudus for the food, atmosphere, and ATTITUDE! This is a resturant for the hip, young, and young at heart!
Pros: Inexpensive, GREAT FOOD! , wonderful atmosphere

Angeli's was suggested to us by a local family we met while we were walking around looking for a place to eat. Their exact words were "It's a bit of a dive, but you can't beat the pizza!" Their kids agreed heavily. I liked the projected movie running silently on the wall and the food was great on both visits! The atmosphere is a bit gothic which is a neat change over the average eateries. The service was fine; we didn't have to wait all that long either visit. I'd reccommend trying it out. The food was worth the wait and far overshadowed what anyone might view as service/appearance flaws.
Pros: Great food, Something different, Gothic appeal
Cons: , Can get crowded

as im sure alot of people know, angeli can be very busy at times. sometimes the service is not good, because during the weekdays there is only one server. keep in mind that 16 tables plus the bar and takeout orders is alot for one person., even two or 3.
