My husband I had our last lunch before going to the airport to return home. The mussels are the best I've ever had, to die for! We sat at the bar and had a great time with some of the local patrons. Julie, the bartender was great - very friendly and helpful as to the menu items.

Fantastic ambiance, service, and presentation. The Bacco shrimp was the best thing we had during our visit to New Orleans. I also enjoyed the crawfish omelet. Definitely not crowded for brunch and an overall excellent dining experience.

I took my girlfriend for Valentines day. Great complimentary valet parking at the W. Staff is very friendly. Food is excellent. The salmon and lobster raviolli were delicious. Entrees range from $20 to $30. Great place to take a date or for a special occasion.
Pros: Food, parking, atmosphere, staff
Cons: none

My girlfriend and I had a excelent experience on Bacco Novemeber 25, 2006. After frustrated experience on Galatoires (poor services; For Example: Galatoires required dress code they provided me a jacket with a hole on it and the waiter threw out the napkin or table cloth on the table front of us meanwhile he was cleaning the utensil ( it was ridicules to pay so much money to receive these mistreats) . On the other hand, the food and services on Bacco was amazing. The table manner from the Bacco staff were perfect; For Example: serving the food from the right side, the tasting of the wine, removing of the unused utensil by every course of the food, etc) I will say Bacco has very well trained people. And we were very pleased with the Bacco and I would like to recommend to everyone who visit New Orleans.
Pros: Service and Food
Cons: Location

On a Sunday night, my wife & I had an hour before our Bacco dinner reservation and wandered upon the Chart Room next door. It was a cool dive with a great juke box in the back corner with selections from Frank Sinatra to Roy Orbison to the Allmand Bros. and many others. It turned out to be a romantic diversion and a great place for a drink & people watching before dinner. Bring some cash as they don't take plastic. At Bacco, we were seated promptly & the wait staff was excellent & friendly. My wife ordered the Lobster Ravioli which she considered one of the best meals she'd ever had. I had the Tuna but it did not compare to my wife's fare which I tried; it was delicious.

Post-Katrina it's prompt seating with no reservation. Brought 2 guests and everything ordered was excellent. The calamari appetizer with feta and marinara was very tender, done to perfection and seasoned correctly. The house special salad was very flavorful and unique. My entree was shrimp ravioli with lobster sauce, the best I've ever had. The raviolis are hand made and thin -- not too starchy or doughey. The filling was all shrimp & the lobster sauce had several good sized chunks of real lobster. I ordered a molded chocolate pudding type dessert (can't remember name) but it was to die for. My guests enjoyed their entrees as well. Good wine selection, but the decor doesn't say Italian unless you're a Modigliani fan. Service was very attentive altho one server seemed a bit snooty presumably because 1 of my guests was in a polo shirt and jeans.
Pros: Immediate seating, great food, Good service
Cons: Pricey, difficult parking

We were seated promptly and the service was attentive though not intrusive (I literally crooked my finger and the waiter came right over). The main course, grilled amberjack, was prepared just right--seared on the outside and almost raw in the middle. The mix of vegetables and seasonings made for a symphony of tastes. I ordered espresso and desert, which I usually do not do, just to prolong the enjoyment.
Pros: Attentive Service, Sophisticated decor, Excellent Food

At lunch this restaurant has 10 cent martinis-- that alone is worth the trip. The antipasto and salads were delicious. The food was good, but it wasn't over the top good if you are a foodie. Service is outstanding. 10 cent Martinis is too much fun !!!!

Refreshingly different from the otherwise taudry side of the french quarter. When you have had enough of the frilly antiques, this place is a nice tuscan refuge. The food is wonderful and almost worth the price. The wine list is overpriced, but offers great choices. I would go again simply to enjoy the beauty of the place though.

This is one of the most overrated restaurants in the city. I went three times and experienced mediocre service and mediocre food all three visits. the wonder is that it is still open, I guess tourists will believe anything and eat anything
Pros: none
Cons: overpriced, mediocre food
